Get ready to run!
The Jackalope 5K is a fun run event organized by Black Dog Animal Rescue. The race is open to all ages. Runners, walkers, and wheel chair participants are invited. Participants receive a tech shirt and post-race goodies. There will also be awards and door prizes. This year, you can also set up a fundraising page to help support BDAR’s medical fund! Why raise money?
Trip, a 3 year old American Bulldog, came to BDAR after being found an emaciated stray. This gentle giant was found to have an intestinal blockage which was causing him to slowly starve to death. He also had a torn ACL and had lost use of a back leg. Trip had surgery to remove the blockage and repair his leg. After several months in foster care and more than $3500 in medical expenses, Trip made a full recovery and was adopted by a loving family.
This year, money raised through the Jackalope 5k will be used to help more homeless pets like Trip with their medical bills. To add to the excitement, people who choose to help raise that money will have a chance to win great prizes from BDAR!

Now in its 4th year benefiting BDAR, the race has set record attendance levels and is among the most popular 5K events in the state. This year, race proceeds will be used exclusively to provide much needed veterinary care to hundreds of animals brought to BDAR in 2016.
Join us in raising part of the much-needed funds to help homeless pets get the care they need to go on and live healthy, active lives!
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 through donations and pledges raised by race participants or community members who wish to help make a difference. Collect pledges now through May 15th and help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 for the homeless animals in our care. Every donation you collect counts, and raising money has never been so easy through our event website.

Ask your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to help you help the animals! Pledge incentive prizes will be given to pledge-raisers for various levels of pledge amounts collected. B Cheyenne, WY 82001 or dropped off at the same location Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 15th!
