CHEYENNE, WY. (May 16, 2016) – Black Dog Animal Rescue (BDAR) is excited to announce that both of the dogs recently rescued from South Korean dog meat farm have been released for adoption. Tamela, a female husky mix, and Norman, a male mastiff, are now looking for their new homes.

“While we were prepared for a worst-case scenario regarding the sociability and health of these dogs, we have been pleasantly surprised by them. They are shy, and most new things in their environment are cause for a bit of initial fear. But they have proven to be resilient and adaptable,” said BDAR Executive Director Britney Wallesch.

Tamela and Norman were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. BDAR is now accepting applications for their adoption. Tamela will need a home with other dogs and kids over 12. She is the more shy of the two and kids might be too much for her comfort. Norman is basically a giant puppy, and he gets lots of reassurance from other dogs. Norman would likely be okay with children over 5.

“We have seen that some of the dogs who stayed with the Larimer Humane Society are also ready to be adopted, so it looks as though all of the dogs from this rescue effort will soon be in adoptive homes and ready to start their new lives,” said Wallesch.
