The Jackalope 5K is a fun run/walk event hosted by BDAR in Laramie. This untimed fun event is dog and kid friendly. The course follows a beautiful loop along the Laramie River, starting in Optimist Park. This year's event includes various race registration options, including the option to stay at home on the couch and get your merchandise anyway!
Every year, for nearly 10 years, Black Dog Animal Rescue has worked tirelessly to afford second chances to forgotten shelter pets across Wyoming and the region. In 2016 alone, more than 500 homeless dogs and cats were adopted thanks to BDAR's efforts.
Race Day Agenda
8am - Check-in and registration, Jackalope selfie station, coffee and donuts.
Race Day Registration fees are as follows, t-shirt sizes and doggie bandanas are subject to availability.
Basic registration, Adults - $35
Deluxe registration, Adults - $50
Basic Registration, Youth (under 18) - $25
Deluxe Registration, Youth (under 18) - $40
Register your dog - $15
9am - Race start time, run, walk, and wag along the greenway at Optimist Park
10am - Awards presentation and wrap-up
Please note - this course is not available to us at any other time during the summer - therefore the event will be held regardless of weather conditions. Please dress accordingly.
Pick-up locations for merchandise for virtual participants or those who fail to attend on race day will be announced on the facebook event page following the race. Merchandise must be picked up within a week of the location announcement.
