We would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who was able to attend BDAR’s Thankful Thursday event on April 20th. For those of you unaware of “Thankful Thursday,” it is a unique Cheyenne program that occurs throughout the year in support of various local nonprofit organizations.
More than 300 people packed the house at BDAR’s event at the new venue, AMVETS Post 10. This year’s event, which included a hot dog bar, live auction, and a raffle, was a smashing success. It raised over $19,000 for BDAR.
We would like to thank everyone who made this a fun and special event! There are so many to thank…the organizations and individuals that donated items to our live auction, sponsors, the staff and volunteers who put it together, and the community members that showed up to support BDAR. It is incredible to see so many people rally together in support of helping homeless pets in Wyoming.
Angel also made an appearance, and quickly became the life of the party. She is always a great reminder of where our resources go, and of the pets that wouldn’t have another option without an organization like BDAR. After making the rounds (and lots of new friends) she was actually worn out from all the excitement. If you haven’t yet heard about Angel and her road to recovery, click here.
We are still trying to wrap our heads around what turned out to be an absolutely phenomenal evening with some of the greatest people in our community. We hope you had a great evening. Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing up for homeless pets and giving big to make a difference!
