Have you heard of the PACK Program? The PACK (Preparing Adoptable Companion K9s) Program is a collaborative program maintained through a partnership with the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, WY. Learn more about this program here.
Most PACK Program participants spend approximately 2 weeks in foster care prior to transferring to the prison, resulting in about $19/day of housing and care costs.
Since 2015, more than 200 dogs have graduated the program.
The total cost of the running the PACK Program exceeds $30,000 per year.
What is the Constant Companion Club? The Constant Companion Club (CCC) is comprised of BDAR’s most loyal supporters. Learn more about it and how to sign up here. In 2018, CCC donors contributed a combined total of just over $42,000 to help support the PACK Program and other essential services. The average CCC donation amount is only $29, but that steady income allows us to plan and provide for programs like PACK.
We are signing up as many CCC members as possible in the month of February to help support this amazing program! If you sign up today, you will get a sticker showing your support and membership of BDAR and the PACK Program!
