Buddy came to BDAR from Nebraska. He was surrendered after his owner passed away and no one else could care for him. He was given a week before he would be euthanized due to space. BDAR was recommended as an alternative and we were notified by the person who took Buddy after his owner passed. They didn’t want him to be put down. Thankfully, we had a foster home available and Buddy came to BDAR that same day.
When he arrived, we noticed that this little, happy go lucky pup, had a bulging eye. It looked painful and was slightly discolored. Our immediate thought was that his eye would have to be removed but first he needed to see a Veterinarian.
A few days later, it was confirmed that his eye would be completely removed by a surgery called enucleation. Although Buddy was a happy dog, it was very obvious that his eye caused him pain and this surgery was necessary for him to live his best life.
The team at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic took great care of him and Buddy is on the mend. Not only is Buddy lucky to have come to BDAR when he did, he is lucky to have found his foster mom. She went above and beyond to create these special stickers to help support Buddy’s surgery and future surgeries that BDAR dogs will need.
There are a few ways you can contribute to claim these awesome stickers for yourself.
1) Donate $10 to her Facebook fundraiser and she’ll send you a sticker.
2) Stop by the BDAR office to donate. For every $10, you get a sticker.
